In case you have both the interest and time to peruse what is reported to be 11,000 pages of daily schedules- you now can head on over to the William J. Clinton Presidential Library website and read them for yourselves!
I certainly approve of transparency from all candidates, so I am glad that these documents are being released. I just hope that people do not go overboard in the minutia- the fact that the information has been publicly released is actually far more important to me than what is in them (barring major skeletons).
So enjoy the blow by blow of our former First Lady’s schedule!
FYI- January alone is 1,616 pages long!

Kal Penn (actor from The Namesake, Harold and Kumar, 24, House, and much more) stopped by Blue State Coffee yesterday February 28th, 2008 to talk on behalf of Barack Obama. He spoke to a very packed house for about 15 minutes then gave a lengthy Q and A session.
It was great to hear him talk about how he was moved to take action as a citizen, not because he was a celebrity or and actor, but because he really cared about the message that Barack was bringing.
You can check out a 2 minute excerpt from his talk by clicking here.
FYI- President Clinton is giving a talk this afternoon in Providence, and tomorrow Obama will be holding a rally at RIC midday. It is neat to be in the political spotlight here in RI for a few days!
And please vote.

This election year has such potential. Two candidates who just don’t look like the last 43 US presidents for some reason- both promising the change that our country so desperately needs.
Whether or not a single person can actually do half the change they promise(I pray to god they can), this election will be one for the history books.
Check out this music video produced by the front man for the Black Eyed Peas- whether or not you are an Obama fan- I think you will find it quite inspirational. If someone has a similar production for Hillary- please let us know- we will post it up here right away!
Happy Primary watching!

I was made aware of this neat little website yesterday. All you do is put in your name, address, and email and it will check to make sure that you are not only registered, but registered at your current address. (You can uncheck the box that allows them to send you emails if you are trying to keep your email inbox less cluttered).
And just in case you are not already registered to vote- you can have the forms mailed to you courtesy of Rock the Vote.
Happy voting, and may the 2008 elections be Blue!

This last tuesday October 30th, we were lucky enough to have Al Franken visit our store at 300 Thayer in Providence! In case you have not heard already, Al Franken is running for senate in Minnesota, and doing very well so far.
After signing books and taking pictures with the gathered crowd, Al gave an inspiring talk on his candidacy for the senate to a packed store. While he was talking I was impressed how he came across not as a politician, but rather a concerned citizen who has seen the need for change. To learn more about his bid for the senate, or perhaps to donate to his campaign visit alfranken.com.
Thanks for coming Al, and we all wish you a victory in Minnesota next fall!

On winning the Nobel Peace prize with the U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
Keep up the good work. While the path to a more ecologically minded world has just begun, thank you for your role in boosting awareness of climate issues.
